1. We had a great day at the Macedonia Senior Center today, serving 100 tasty pork chops to some grateful citizens. Thanks to all who could help out, who you can see in the photos. The next chance to volunteer at the Senior Center is Friday, October 25, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (although truthfully we were done by about 12:30 p.m. today).
2. The Senior Center is in search of a boombox CD player so they can play music during their lunches. If anyone has a CD boombox in good condition that you are looking to unload, please let me know.
3. Do not forget that we will be collecting nonperishable food items at every Rotary meeting in October. We are competing with the Twinsburg Rotary to see who can collect the most food. Make sure the food is nonperishable and not expired, please.
4. In the long range, during the first week of November we will need people to help the Emergency Assistance Center organize the food that is collected in October. I am not asking for names yet, just putting it on your radar. Also, IÂ am working with the Salvation Army to get a bell ringing day confirmed. We have been at the Macedonia Walmart in the past; I am hoping to get us moved to the Giant Eagle. More to follow.
