The Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Ladies AOH are hosting the annual Akron St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 12th, 2016. The parade will start on South Main St. at noon and proceed north on Main through downtown Akron. A total of 102 units will participate, including the Akron U. Pep Band and the St. Vincent/St. Mary Band.
Prior to the parade a breakfast at the Hibernian Hall will be prepared by the Akron Celtic Guards, the local Irish Hurling team. Breakfast will be served beginning at 8:00 am until 10:30. A donation of $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children is asked.
Following the parade, beginning at 2:00, there will be entertainment at the Hibernian Hall by the Shaffer Brothers from 2:00 – 6:00 pm and by Callahan & Connor, from 6:00 until? Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day and evening.
The Hibernian Hall is located at 2000 Brown St. From I-77 exit at Waterloo Rd.
