Alien Klowns With Evil Intent To Land At Smith Park

Most clowns want to smile, have fun, and make children laugh.

But the creatures donning face paint and red lips next month at Smith Park will be smiling – through fangs speckled with tattered pieces of town folk flesh. And these clowns are definitely not for young children.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space will be shown on October 15th, as part of the Northfield Village Movie Night at Smith Parkin series.

“It’s going to be for the older crowd, not necessarily for smaller children,” according to Mayor Jenn Domzalski.

Domzalski announced the addition of the 1988 cult classic at the September 14th, regular Council meeting.

According to the mayor, the movie was picked after more than a little discussion and negotiation.

The movie, which runs about 1-hour and 28 minutes, according to IMBD, is rated PG-13.

Without giving the plot away, the movie involves town terrorizing aliens who look like clowns.

The flick will begin at dusk. Domzalski suggested viewers arrive a bit early and dress for the weather.

Popcorn will be provided by the village.

Please note that Trick-or-Treat in Northfield Village will be Sunday Oct. 30th. The same night was the Halloween Party https://www.facebook.com/events/862734884669660/?post_id=862736401336175&view=permalink

Council also approved three pieces of legislation and placed one on second reading.

Legislation:

  • An emergency resolution passed accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Summit County Budget Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the county fiscal officer.
  • An emergency resolution passed authorizing the director of finance to establish a Village Local OneOhio Opioid Settlement Fund, to receive, account for, and spend OneOhio opioid litigation settlement funds.
  • An emergency ordinance passed amending section 246.10(e) of the Codified Ordinances relating to holidays for full-time firefighters.
  • An emergency ordinance amending section 1042.14 of the codified ordinances relating to sewer maintenance fee charges was placed on second reading.

The next regularly scheduled Council meeting is September 28, at 7:30 p.m.
