Animal Control Sponsoring Pets For Vets Adoptions In November

SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—County Executive Ilene Shapiro is pleased to announce Animal Control is partnering with Pay It Forward for Pets to sponsor its Pets for Vets program which provides no cost adoptions for active-duty service members and veterans. Throughout the month of November, cat and dog adoptions will be free for those who are currently serving or have served in our nation’s armed forces.

All animals are fully vetted (bloodwork, flea treatments, intestinal de-worming, spay/neuter, and vaccinations), microchipped and ready to be taken home. Those who adopt a dog will receive a 2023 Summit County Dog License.

Shelters throughout the region are offering similar programs this month, including the Humane Society of Summit County.
