Question: What hearing aid manufacturer is the best?
Answer: With hearing aid advancements moving as quickly as computers advance, most hearing aid manufacturers make a quality product. Our office works with all manufacturers, so I typically select the brand or manufacturer based on the specific needs of the patient. For example, I have a company I like to use for custom made products and a different company I like to use for new users. One of the most important factors when selecting a manufacturer is the audiologist’s experience with that specific manufacturer’s software. If the audiologist works with the brand often, it can be easier to convert the patient’s concerns into a noticeable programming change. The type and degree of your loss, dexterity concerns, insurance restrictions, and the type of cell phone you have could influence the manufacturer that is recommended.
