Attempt to Locate

On March 17, 2024, an inmate from the Summit County Jail walked away from a work detail. The Deputy supervising the detail maintained security on the remaining inmates and requested assistance. The inmate has been identified as Ransom H. Moffit, age 55 of Akron. He had been booked into the jail on charges of possession of drugs and receiving stolen property. The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is currently looking for Moffit with the assistance of other law enforcement agencies.
