In 1837 there was a murder in Sagamore Hills. The victim was Catharine M. McKisson. Initially her father-in-law Samuel McKisson was arrested. The charges were dropped after his son David (Catharine’s brother-in-law) was arrested and convicted. He was later hanged. Here is more information about what happened.
