Board of Elections announces Early Vote and Ballot Drop Box Traffic Changes

To avoid traffic congestion at the Early Vote Center and the Ballot Drop Box for the
2024 General Election, Summit County Board of Elections is instituting altered traffic patterns and a new, temporary Ballot Drop Box location on Grant St.

To avoid traffic congestion and delays, ALL incoming and exiting traffic on Grant St. is restricted to RIGHT TURNS ONLY. To access the Early Vote Center, voters should enter at 470 Grant St. (Board of Elections). They will then be directed to parking at the Early Vote Center.

The Ballot Drop Box has been temporarily relocated to 450 Grant St. ALL incoming and exiting traffic must turn RIGHT. The Ballot Drop Box is accessible 24/7 for those dropping off their own ballot. Ballots must be received by Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 7:30 p.m.

If an individual is returning a ballot for a family member or disabled voter, they are required to sign an attestation form. BOE staff will be available during all early in-person absentee voting hours to assist at vehicles at 450 Grant St. or inside the 470 Grant St. building.

Overflow Parking for Early Vote is available at 440 Wolf Ledges Parkway (Akron Innovation Campus), 411 Wolf Ledges Parkway (Akron Innovation Campus) and 150 E. Exchange St. (Folk Art Hall)

Shuttle service will be available at each overflow parking lot to take voters to and from the Early Vote Center. Voters must be in line at the Early Vote Center by the time polls close during early voting. For each day of Early Voting, Shuttle service pickups at each overflow parking lot will end 30 minutes prior to the closing of the line to vote. Shuttle service from the Early Vote Center to each overflow parking lot will continue until 1 hour after the close of the line to vote.
