Bears shut out Knights 6-0 in Tuesday home match
North Royalton’s varsity soccer team delivered a commanding performance Tuesday night, defeating Nordonia 6-0 in a conference match at home.
The Bears controlled the match from start to finish, finding the net six times while keeping a clean sheet against the visiting Knights from Macedonia.
The victory continues North Royalton’s strong play in conference competition this season. Nordonia entered the match with a 4-4 overall record but was unable to generate significant offensive pressure against the Bears’ defense throughout the contest.
The loss extends Nordonia’s current losing streak to three games as they sit in eighth place in the Suburban National Conference standings with an 0-3 conference record.
The match took place on September 9 as part of the teams’ conference schedule. Nordonia will look to bounce back from the shutout loss when they host Archbishop Hoban on Friday at 3 p.m.
