I recently asked our Sheriff’s Office for an update on the vandalism that occurred at our fire station last month. Today I learned from Detective Jason Kline that the ‘urine’ that was spread around the building was, in fact, NOT urine. Although they did not identify the actual substance, I was told that it was “Not Toxic” and there is no DNA evidence. There is also one, possibly two suspects involved in some of the other vandalism that occurred involving some of the nasty and vulgar notes left throughout the station and the vehicles.
As of today, there is an estimated $10,000 in overall damage, which includes the cleanup that occurred during the weeks following the changeover to the Macedonia Fire Department. The investigation continues.
