Macedonia, OH. August 1, 2018 – For 37 years Cable 9 has been providing award-winning television programming to its member communities of Aurora, Macedonia, Northfield Center, Reminderville, Sagamore Hills, Twinsburg and Twinsburg Township. After awarding our cable franchise to Western Reserve Cablevision in March of 1981, the Western Reserve Cable Television Consortium was formed. The initial membership of nine communities created a Citizen Advisory Board, which in turn created Cable 9 Television. We aired our first show, a high school football game, in September of 1982.
As our reach expands from television-only to encompass social media, on-demand and other on-line services, we decided it was time for our name to reflect our increased community presence. We think Community Focus does just that.
Community Focus will continue to provide over 100 hours of weekly programming on Spectrum channel 1021, all local access. In addition, many high school sports, school music programs and community events will be available in high definition at MyCommunityFocus.org and the new Community Focus App MyCommunityFocusApp.org, ideal for Smart-TV viewing.
Only the name is new – the commitment to our communities is unwavering!
