Please plan to attend the Thursday, March 10, Monthly NHCOC Meeting at Spennato’s Ristorante & Pizzeria in Northfield Village.  At this meeting, we will acknowledge and publicly thank our sponsors for the 24th Annual Community Expo.  The speakers will be representatives from our Expo Platinum sponsor businesses – UH Ahuja and Jackson Comfort Systems.  Lunch will be served at 11:30, with the meeting ending approximately 1:00.  Expo sponsors and the Expo committee are requested to arrive at 11:15 to enable photos to be taken before the meeting.  The cost for Chamber members for this meeting is $15; all others will pay the walk-in price of $20.  Lunch is included.  The public is invited to join us.  Please RSVP to the Chamber Office at 330-467-8956.

Attention women business leaders:  Our annual visit from Congressman David Joyce is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8.  The NHCOC Women in Business Group will meet with the Congressman at 9:00 am at Long Tail Knits (9838 Valley View Rd., Macedonia) this week only.  Guests are always welcome, but we would appreciate a RSVP to 330-467-8956.

Registration is now open for our April training seminars “BREATHE LIFE INTO YOUR MARKETING – SOCIAL MEDIA & EMAIL MARKETING”, presented by Karen Leonard, co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Innovative Global Vision, Inc. (IGV).  With over 17 years’ of experience in the IT field, Karen has a passion for helping small businesses grow.  She works closely with her extraordinarily talented team of developers, designers and marketing specialists to help small businesses increase profits through their website and build deeper, more profitable relationships.  Attendees are welcome to attend any one or all events; however the classes do build on one another.  Classes will meet each Wednesday morning in April at Ferfolia Funeral Home, 8-10 AM.  The admission price is $20/class ($25 at the door) or $75 for all four.  The classes scheduled are as follows:  4/6/2016 – Grow Your Business with Email & Social Media; 4/13/2016 – Standout Subject Lines; 4/20/2016 – Social Media for Professional Organizations; 4/27/2016 – Advanced Social Media Marketing Tips.  Space is limited, so please go to nordoniahillschamber.org to register online or contact the Chamber office.

COME ONE – COME ALL!  It’s time for the 24th Annual Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce Community Expo – Saturday, March 19, 9 – 3:30, at Nordonia High School.  Once again, I am amazed by the generosity of our local businesses – not just with their dollars, but with their time as well.  The committee this year is lead by Penny Haser (Cuyahoga Valley Career Center) and Julie D’Aloiso (SpiderCat Marketing); committee members include Patrick Manning (Nordonia Hills Library), Gary Jackson (Jackson Comfort Systems), Kristen Monroe (Medcalf Monroe Agency), Allyson Newell (Ferfolia Funeral Home), Melissa Kerick (Citizen’s Bank), Nancy Zajac (HealthMarkets Agent), and Nicole Lazar (Revitalize Health Coaching).  And it’s all thanks to these wonderful people who have worked tirelessly to make this event the biggest and best ever.

Booth space is still available for the Expo.  Don’t miss this opportunity to build relationships with 80+ businesses and to promote your product or services to over 3,000 Expo attendees.  With every booth you get a 6’ table, 2 chairs, back curtain, table covering and skirting, a listing on the Chamber web site and Expo Program and in the special section of the March 16 NewsLeader.

This year Domino’s Sagamore Hills is sponsoring a Vendors Lounge so all you vendors have a spot to put up your feet and have a little snack throughout the day.  Call the Chamber Office at 330-467-8956 right away to let us begin promoting your business.

This event is free and open to the Nordonia Hills community and all relatives and friends.  The Scholarship Raffle will begin at 3:30 on Saturday, so be sure to get your tickets before hand.  Plan to checkout the entertainment in the cafeteria.  And bring your appetite!  Chick-fil-A Macedonia is setting up a food court!  This is a wonderful opportunity to catch up on neighborhood news after the long winter AND a great way to learn about what products and services are available right here in your back yard.  As you can see, the Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce knows how to showcase our community.
