Nordonia’s 2025 football season has officially come to a close after a tough matchup against Walsh Jesuit, ending with a final score of 18–49. Although the Knights fell short in their final game, the season was filled with unforgettable highlights, inspiring comebacks, and moments that showcased true teamwork and perseverance.
From the opening kickoff in August to the final whistle in November, the Knights played with passion and determination. Each week brought new challenges and opportunities for growth, and the players rose to meet them with resilience and pride. Coaches and fans alike praised the team’s progress and the effort they put forth both on and off the field.
For the senior players, this season held special meaning. It marked the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and camaraderie. With football wrapped up, attention now turns to the rink as Nordonia’s hockey team gears up to begin their 2025–2026 season. The Knights will open play on November 15 against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, marking the start of what promises to be a competitive and exciting winter campaign.

The team has spent the past several weeks preparing through intense practices and conditioning. Coaches report that both returning players and new faces are blending well, building strong team chemistry and focus heading into their opener. This season’s Knights are expected to bring speed, energy, and determination to every shift on the ice.
Fans are encouraged to come out and show their support as the hockey team begins their journey. The players are eager to represent Nordonia with pride and continue the tradition of effort and excellence that defines Knights athletics.

Girls Basketball Gears Up for a New Season

The girls basketball team is also preparing for an exciting season ahead, with their first game scheduled for November 21 against Strongsville High School. After weeks of preseason training and hard work, the Knights are ready to return to the court and make their mark. There will be two returning senior guards Taylor Morgan and Hadyn Paul Coach Ryan says”They both bring scoring and defensive leadership to the court as we bring in some young players to our varsity roster.”

This year’s focus has been on improving defensive communication, sharpening offensive execution, and fostering teamwork both during games and in practice. Coaches have praised the players for their dedication and positive attitude as they prepare for what promises to be a competitive schedule.

Senior leaders have been instrumental in guiding the younger athletes, ensuring that the team remains motivated and cohesive. With a balance of experience and fresh talent, the Knights look to build momentum early and maintain it throughout the season.

Hello I am Christopher Hovanetz your new Nordonia sportswriter. I am 11yrs old and it’s my last year at Lee Eaton 6th grade. I am very interested in sports and happy to get this wonderful opportunity to help spread my knowledge of the sport/sports. I play Nordonia youth football. I am a right tackle on defense and my team is currently 6-1 heading into the first round of the playoffs to play Kenmore.
