Knights Edge Out Twinsburg in a Thriller, 27–24

The Nordonia Knights came out on top in an exciting and hard-fought battle against Twinsburg, winning 27–24 in front of an energetic home crowd. The victory improves Nordonia’s record to 8–3, while Twinsburg drops to 6–5.

From the opening kickoff, both teams showcased their determination and athleticism. The Knights jumped out to an early lead, holding a 14–10 advantage at halftime, thanks to strong play on both sides of the ball. The offense executed several impressive drives, while the defense made key stops to hold Twinsburg in check.

The second half brought even more excitement, with both teams trading big plays and momentum swings. In the final minutes of the game, the Knights drove down the field to set up a game-winning opportunity. With just seconds left on the clock, Riley Edgehouse stepped up and delivered a clutch field goal to seal the victory for Nordonia. The crowd erupted as the team celebrated one of the most thrilling wins of the season.

Head Coach and players praised the team’s composure under pressure, crediting their preparation and teamwork for the late-game success. “Our players never gave up,” said one assistant coach. “They stayed focused and believed in each other until the very end.”

Next week, the Knights look to keep their momentum going as they face Walsh Jesuit at Conway Memorial Stadium. This matchup is expected to draw a strong crowd, as both teams continue their postseason push. Fans are encouraged to come out, wear their green and black, and cheer on the Knights as they fight to advance further into the playoffs.

Hockey Season Heats Up

Coaches report that the team has a mix of returning veterans and promising new talent, giving them depth and flexibility heading into the season. Leadership and communication will be key strengths for this year’s squad, and fans are eager to see how the Knights perform in their opener.

Girls Wrestling Makes History

The team has shown tremendous growth since its formation, with several standout performances already earning recognition across the region. Coaches have praised the wrestlers for their discipline, work ethic, and team spirit. “This is a special group,” said the head coach. “They’ve worked hard all season to get here, and they’re making history for future Nordonia athletes.”

The quarterfinal appearance not only highlights the program’s success but also reflects the continued expansion of opportunities for female athletes in high school sports. The Nordonia community is encouraged to support the team as they continue their journey and strive for even greater success.
