Valley View Road Resurfacing
Asphalt resurfacing of Valley View Road, from Twinsburg Road south to the Macedonia City Limits, has been completed. The City of Macedonia has received a grant from the Akron Metropolitan Area Transportation Study (AMATS) in the amount of $292,000, to pay for
90% of the cost for this project.
State Route 8 & Highland Intersection
The City has received a grant from the Congestion Management and Air Quality federal program in the amount of $2.2 million. This money will go toward future improvements to the intersection to help alleviate traffic congestion along Highland Road. This project will also include adding a turn lane on South Bedford Road at Highland Road, as well as installing a sidewalk on South Bedford, from Highland to Blue Jay Trail.
