SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—With Thanksgiving right around the corner, the dogs and cats of Animal Control want Summit County residents to know that they are “FURever Thankful” for the love and kindness they have received this year. Whether you like and share their pictures on Facebook so their families can reunite with them, volunteer to walk and play with them, or have adopted a pet yourself, every action helps bring much-needed joy into their lives. To celebrate and continue this outpouring of love from our community, Animal Control is reducing adoption prices for the month of November.
During the adoption event, costs will be reduced to $28 for dogs (regularly $94) and $5 for cats (regularly $60). All animals are microchipped, fully vetted (includes bloodwork, flea treatments, intestinal de-worming, spay or neuter, and vaccinations) and ready to be taken home. Those who adopt a dog will also receive a 2024 Summit County Dog License included in the adoption cost.
Residents can call 330-643-2845 to schedule an appointment or visit the facility during business hours. To browse pictures of adoptable pets, visit Summit County Animal Control’s Facebook or PetFinder pages.
