SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—At the first Summit County Council meeting of 2023, Council Member Veronica Sims (District 5) was elected by her peers to serve as Council President. Council Member Rita Darrow (District 1) was elected to serve as Council Vice President.
“I look forward to working with President Sims and Vice President Darrow in the coming year. Their experience and strong leadership on Council will help ensure the important work we undertook in last year will continue in 2023,” said County Executive Ilene Shapiro. “Together, we will continue to prioritize the needs of Summit County residents, while providing important ongoing services and support to individuals, businesses, and our local communities.”
