SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—On Tuesday, May 10, 2022, Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro received the H. Peter Burg Economic Development Leadership Award from the Greater Akron Chamber. The award was created in memory of H. Peter Burg by the Chamber’s Executive Committee to recognize a leader who embraces economic and community development in the Greater Akron region. County Executive Shapiro is the seventeenth recipient of the award.
In her remarks, County Executive Shapiro thanked her family, friends, colleagues, and team at the County who have supported her and contributed to her office’s economic and community development work.
