County Executive Shapiro Thanks Council Members Prentice and Koehler for Service

SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—At the final County Council meeting of 2020, Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro thanked outgoing Council Members Paula Prentice and Ron Koehler for their service to the community. Councilwoman Prentice served three terms and Councilman Koehler served one term.

Councilwoman Prentice served as Vice President of Council, chaired the Health and Human Services and Long Term Planning Committees and served on the Finance Committee and Personnel and Intergovernmental Committee. During her time on Council she helped make Summit County a leader in children’s health care by promoting activities, such as Let’s Move Summit County. Councilman Koehler served on the Council’s Public Safety and Justice Committee, Public Works Committee, Planning, Buildings & Economic Development Committee and Long-Term Planning Committee.

“In their time on County Council, Councilwoman Prentice and Councilman Koehler displayed leadership and vision, while working cooperatively with their colleagues on behalf of the residents they served,” said Executive Shapiro. “We are thankful for their service and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.”
