It has been a very warm summer, however the bicyclists are still out.
I was at a Sagamore Hills trustee meeting recently and the bike crossing near Greenwood Village was brought up in a public comments. The discussion centered around how the signal is supposed to work. It was mentioned that when a biker hits a button at the crossing, the lights flash and the traffic is supposed to stop. The problem is that some drivers stop and some do not. So please use cautious when traveling in that area.
Years ago, Rose Mary Snell worked with the state to implement the crossing for Sagamore Hills Township. It was installed by the state and the state controls it as well.
