SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—The month of December is chock-full of holidays, including National Mutt Day, International Day of Veterinary Medicine, and International Animal Rights Day. In celebration of these days and in the spirit of the holiday season, Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro is announcing the Holiday Hounds and Festive Felines Adoption Event. Beginning Monday, December 1, interested individuals are encouraged to call 330-643-2845 to schedule an appointment and find a new furry friend! Dogs and cats will be available for the discounted price of $28 per dog (regularly $94 per dog) and $10 per cat (regularly $60 per cat). The animals will be fully vetted (blood work, flea treatments, intestinal de-worming, spay/neuter and vaccinations) and ready to be taken home. Individuals who adopt a dog will receive a 2021 Summit County Dog License (included in adoption price).
