Fall Season: Boys Cross Country: Solon Takes 2nd, Nordonia Boys Team Place 5th at Comet Cross Country Invitational

The Nordonia Boys Cross Country Team competed at the Comet Cross Country Invitational Saturday morning at Cleveland Metro Parks Polo Fields. The boys cross country finished in fifth place as a team.

Nordonia High School Boys Varsity – 126 (5th Out of 6)

The Nordonia Boys clinched fifth place out of six competing large schools, securing a total of 126 points. Junior Kaden Seredick led the Nordonia boys, earning the 11th spot with 22 points and a time of 18:01.90. Senior Kaleb Rayle secured the 28th position with 23 points and a time of 18:17.70.

Senior Andy Cundra completed the race in 18:21.20, claiming the 29th spot individually and collecting 24 points. Senior Justin Roberts finished 33rd with 26 points and a time of 18:34.00. Sophomore Ethan Mellott landed in 40th place with 31 points, finishing in 18:43.50. Sophomore Raphael Gotfryd took the 49th position with 34 points, followed closely by junior Branden Garren in 51st place with 35 points.

Among the group of thirty Nordonia Boys Runners, several notables included Freshman Aiden Flynn, Freshman Samuel Lang at 62nd place, Freshman Cole Leitzel at 64th, and Freshman Zackary Tomak at 65th. 

Additional runners included Logan Purcell at 66th, junior Biagio LaGuardia at 72nd, and sophomore Daniel Wise at 79th. The ranks continued with sophomore Sam Fechter at 81st, sophomore Mason McFall at 85th, and sophomore Justin Zambach at 86th. Further down the line were Christopher Fox at 103rd, freshman Zachary Mueller at 105th, and Aden Khatri at 107th. 

The list carried on with Lorenzo LaGuardia at 113th, freshman Colton Garrard at 117th, and Ryan Hinterlong at 120th. Junior Trevor Daniel secured the 121st spot, followed by Dhanajay Vaghela at 124th, Hunter Tyson at 126th, and Will Puff at 132nd. Oliver Lechner stood at 136th, John Jensen at 140th, and Hamsa Abuhasiam at 145th. In the same competition, the Solon team achieved an impressive second place with a total of 47 points.

UP NEXT: The Nordonia Boys Cross Country will be traveling on the 2nd of September for the Avon Lake Invitational at Lorain County Community College. It will start at 9:00 a.m.
