The Nordonia cross country teams competed in the Avon Lake Invitational cross country meet on Saturday. The Nordonia Boys secured a total of 149 places, earning them the sixth position out of the 17 competing teams.
Senior Logan Purcell led the Nordonia boys, finishing seventeenth individually with a time of 19:45.20. The top five Nordonia runners included Freshman Zackary Tomak (27th place, 20:09.20), Junior Biagio LaGuardia (43rd place, 20:26.50), Freshman Cole Leitzel (52nd place, 20:50.20), and Sophomore Daniel Wise (55th place, 20:57.00).
Other Nordonia runners included sophomore Mason McFall (65th), senior Justin Zambach (81st), sophomores Christopher Fox (102nd) and Sam Fechter (106th), and freshman Colton Gerrard (114th).
The Hudson cross country team claimed victory at the Avon Lake Invitational, with their top five runners finishing as 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 15th individually, securing the first-place team finish.
UP NEXT: The Nordonia Boys Cross Country will be traveling on the 9th of September for the Bruce Lerch Invitational at Brecksville-Broadview High School. It will start at 9:00 a.m.
