Nordonia Knights Face Unforeseen Turn Against Eastlake North
In an unexpected twist, the Nordonia Knights encountered a startling challenge when they crossed paths with Eastlake North on a Tuesday night. Holding a two-set advantage, the Knights were poised for victory before the tables turned. Eastlake’s Jaiden Anderson orchestrated a flawless setup, sparking the crucial comeback ignited by Cami Welty.
Among the standout performers, sophomore outside hitter Madison Dupont showcased her prowess with a team-high 13 kills on the offensive front. Guiding the Knights’ defensive efforts, sophomore setter Morgan Root commanded the field with an impressive 41 assists. Junior hitter Riley Barwidi closely trailed Madison Dupont with 11 kills, while junior Alethis Wilson secured the third spot with 10 kills. Adding to the team’s strength, junior Reese Knotts tallied an impressive five solo blocks.

UP NEXT: The Nordonia Volleyball Girls will next host the Solon High school team on Tuesday, August 29th. Freshman will begin at 5:00pm, Junior Varsity will follow around 6:00 pm, and Varsity will take the court around 7:00 PM from Nordonia High School Large Gym.
Nordonia Girls Succumbs to Riverside in 3 Sets at Home
In a demanding encounter lasting over two and a half hours, the Nordonia volleyball varsity girls team endured a tough match against the visiting District Runner-Up, Riverside. Despite the valiant effort, the Nordonia Girls experienced a setback in the third set, concluding with a score of 15-8.
Undeterred by the challenge, both teams are determined to learn and grow from this experience. Looking ahead, the Nordonia girls are gearing up to take on the Solon High School volleyball team on the 29th of August. This anticipated clash will unfold at the Nordonia High School Large Gym, located at 8006 S. Bedford Rd., starting at 7:00 p.m.
