The Nordonia Knights competed at the Hudson Lady Explorer Invitational. It was a humid, wet, and rainy day. Nordonia teed off in the afternoon session and shot 370 as a team for the tournament. This earned the Knights 12th place among the 16 competing teams. The Dublin Jerome Celtics topped it with an overall shot. The Blue Streaks and the Eagles finished second and third with an overall score of 318 and 323, respectively.
Junior Julia Gulla, who was the 2022 Player of the Year for the National Division of the suburban league, shot a team-low 82 to lead the Knights. Senior Brooke Barnes finished with the Nordonia girls team’s second-lowest score for the afternoon with an 87. Sophomores Natalie Barnes and Maddie Elsner shot 89 and 112, respectively, despite the adverse weather conditions and a course that is arguably the toughest field of any tournament in the state!
The Jerome Lady Golfers and Coach Butcher made Steve Lynn welcome. Steve Lynn is a legendary Pro in the game and will be joining the Lady Celt coaching staff. The Jerome Lady Golf, Magnificat Blue Streaks, Hudson Girls, and Knights are fans favorite teams to watch as the season continues.
