North Ridgeville 52 , Nordonia 39
The North Ridgeville High School and Nordonia High School girls basketball teams played on Nov. 22 at North Ridgeville High School. This game marks the start of the varsity girls season. North Ridgeville got off to a strong start as their JV team defeated Hudson 18-2.
The Nordonia Knights girls’ varsity basketball team struggled against the host North Ridgeville Wanderers. North Ridgeville maintained the lead throughout the game and eventually won with a score of 52-39. The loss moves Nordonia High School Girls Basketball to 0-1 on the season.
Senior shooting guard Grace Kingery hit a three-pointer, and Brooke Lime also hit a three-pointer to give the Rangers the lead. All of those 3-pointers came in the first half, after the game started tied at 5-5.
It was a tough game for the Nordonia girls high school basketball team, with North Ridgeville scoring 11 points between the first and second quarters. Although Nordonia fought back, they were unable to close the gap and claim victory.
Alyssa Eland and Cecilia Bouman early in the second period Make layups and perform well. Other scorers for the Rangers included freshman Macie Miller with three.
It is worth noting that for Nordonia, this is just the beginning of the season, and they will have more opportunities to showcase their skills and improve their results.
