The Lady Knights’ junior varsity golfers embraced the challenge against the North Royalton Lady Bears at Briarwood Golf Course in a friendly matchup. The beautiful summer morning illuminated the course as the match teed off at 8:00 a.m. Despite their efforts, the Lady Knights trailed with a score of 231, while the Lady Bears secured 215.
Chelsey stood out with an impressive 56, followed closely by Taylor with 57 and Polly with 58. Lauren and Hilary both achieved a score of 60, while Gabby rounded up the team with 62. The match highlighted the Lady Knights’ dedication and determination, even against a tough opponent.
While victory eluded them this time, the Lady Knights left the course with heads held high. Each swing and each challenge on the green contribute to their growth as athletes. The bond between teammates and the lessons learned form the foundation of their journey in the world of golf.
Next Event: The Junior Varsity Golf Girls are set to face St. Joseph Academy on August 15th at 10 a.m., followed by a few days of rest before they take on Solon High School on August 17th at 3:15 p.m.
