The Nordonia Varsity Boys participated in the Strongsville Fleet Feet Invitational, where 29 schools competed. Unfortunately, the Nordonia cross country boys faced a challenging competition and finished 25th overall with a total team score of 661 points.
They were just above the Avon Lake team, which ended with a team score of 665 points, and below North Olmsted, who finished with a total team score of 659 points to secure the 24th position.
Kaleb Rayle led the Boys Knight Varsity team with an individual score of 94, completing the race in 17:17.62, which placed him 98th. Justin Roberts finished with an individual score of 125, running the race in 17:37.93 and securing the 131st position.
Other contributors to the team’s total score points included Ethan Mellott (17:42.64) at 139th place, Andy Cundra (17:56.13) at 158th place, and Aiden Flynn, who finished 169th with a time of 18:03.01. With 96 points, Chardon High School won the Strongsville Invitational.
Hudson (120) and Rocky River (154) finished in second and third place, respectively. Dylan Wood of Copley won the individual race after finishing in 15:20.12. Lakewood’s Charles Payne (15:30.08) and Perrysburg’s Anthony Clark (15:30.46) secured the second and third positions, respectively.
UP NEXT: The Nordonia Cross Country boys will be making a trip to Madison, Ohio, for the Madison Cross Country Invitational. This is to be held on the 30th by 9:00 a.m.
