The Nordonia boys varsity golf team commenced their 2023 Suburban League tournament campaign on Tuesday, finishing in seventh place out of eight teams in the national conference at Hinckley’s Pine Hills Golf Club.
Leading the way for the Nordonia Knights High School Boys Golf team were senior Ben Mallis, who carded a score of 81, and sophomore Ryan Mallis, who shot an 86. Drew Kitzmiller contributed a score of 93, while Caden Cook recorded a total of 94. Grant Lucican finished with a score of 105, and Kyle Zuchinski rounded out the team with a total of 118. The team’s combined score of 354 marked their first Suburban tournament event of the season.
Hudson emerged victorious at the Pine Hills Golf Club Course, posting a winning score of 302. They finished a commanding 28 strokes ahead of Stow (330). Hudson’s Sam Fauver (69) was the medalist in the Suburban League tournament.
