The Nordonia Varsity Girls competed in the Suburban League Meet in the National Division, where eight schools participated.
The Nordonia cross country girls had a solid race and finished 4th overall with a total team score of 105 points. They were just below the Solon team, which ended with a team score of 103 points, and above Hudson, who finished with a total team score of 125 points to secure the 5th position.
Emerson Beery led the Girls Knight Varsity team with an individual score of 11, completing the race in 20:39.70, which placed her 12th. Olivia May finished with an individual score of 13, running the race in 20:48.00 and securing the 13th position.
Other contributors to the team’s total score points included Sofia Bonanno (21:08.60) in 18th place, Ella Bonanno (21:36.00) in 30th place, and Olivia Pecic, who finished 36th with a time of 21:55.00.
Wadsworth High School won the Suburban League meet with 26 points. Brecksville (62) and Solon (103) finished in second and third place, respectively. Stow-Munroe Falls’ Jayla Atkinson won the individual race after finishing in 18:45.00. Brecksville’s Mari Pizem (18:47.50) and Wadsworth’s Ollie Smith (19:45.50) secured the second and third positions, respectively.
UP NEXT: The Nordonia Cross Country girls will be making a trip to Madison, Ohio, for the OHSAA District Meet. This is to be held on the 21st of October by 9:00 a.m.
