The Nordonia Knights Girls Cross Country team competed in the Strongsville Fleet Feet XC Invitational recently.
The Lady Knights finished 15th out of 27 competing teams at Strongsville High School, earning a total of 413 points. Olivia May put in a solid performance, finishing 25th overall with a time of 19:26.11. Sofia Bonanno also demonstrated her abilities, finishing in 80th place with a time of 20:40.96.
Other top-performing Nordonia Cross Country Girls included Olivia Pecic (21:04.00), who finished 100th, Ella Bonanno (21:06.59), who finished 104th, and Sarah Sedor (21:58.95), who finished 140th. There were eight different Varsity knights representing Nordonia at the Strongsville Invitational.
Olivia Ross (164th), Rachel Lahrmer (178th), and Ella Rathbun (195th) were among the 223 runners that took part. The Perrysburg squad won the Strongsville Invitational with a total of 73 points. Hannah Kersten (18:19.40) of Perrysburg finished third overall.
Sarah Peer of Westlake won the individual race in 17:31.36, propelling her team to a second-place finish, while the Avon Cross Country team finished third.
