The picturesque Old Avalon Golf Club provided a stunning backdrop for the inaugural Nordonia Girls Golf Suburban Tournament. The Lady Knights demonstrated their skills admirably, achieving a remarkable team score of 325. Among the standout performances, Junior Julia led with an exceptional 67, while Senior Brooke secured an individual score of 78.
Recognition is also in order for the rising talents, sophomores Natalie Barnes, Maddie Eisner, and Carley Sutton. Their impressive 18-hole performances exceeded expectations: Natalie achieved 81, Maddie achieved 100, and Carley accomplished a noteworthy 99.
The team’s cohesive efforts set a high standard of excellence throughout the tournament. Of note, Julia Gulla’s impressive score of 67, a notable 4 under par, earned her the coveted National Conference Medalist title. She topped Hudson`s Sherry Du, who shot 69.
Record-Breaking Victory: Hudson’s Lady Explorers Triumph in the National Division Suburban League Golf Tournament
In a remarkable achievement, the Lady Explorers secured the top spot at the National Division of the Suburban League tournament. Leading the charge, Sherry Du (SR) delivered an outstanding performance with a score of 69. Accompanying her, Emmy Burling (JR) contributed a commendable 72, while Elena Varga (FR) and Ellie Davis (SR) both scored 80. Julia Van Bokkelen (JR) followed closely with an 81, and McKenna rounded off the team’s effort with a score of 86. Collectively, the team achieved an impressive overall score of 296, marking a new school record.
