The Nordonia Golf Girls Team faced a challenging day at Chenoweth during the inaugural Summit County Cup. Despite the tough competition, their collective efforts paid off, securing them a respectable 3rd place finish with a total team score of 348.
Leading the charge for the Lady Knights was junior Julia Gulla, who shot an impressive 77. Other valuable contributors to the team’s scorecard were Brooke with 91 and Natalie with 87. Additionally, Maddie Eisner achieved a personal best with a score of 93 at the Summit County Cup.
The Stow Girls Golf team emerged as the first-ever winners of the Summit County Cup at Chenoweth Golf Course. They secured victory with an overall team score of 344. Gabby Berlingieri of Stow stood out as the event’s champion with an individual score of 75. Other solid performers for the Stow Bulldog Girls Golf team included Olivia Berlingieri (86), Sophia Thompson (87), and Julies Leffel-Elliott (96).
The Hudson Explorer Girls Golf team came close to victory, finishing 2nd with a total team score of 347. Sherry Du led the Explorers and claimed the second spot in the medalist rankings with an individual score of 76. Other contributing scores for the Hudson team included Julia with 88, Elena with 90, and Ellie with 93. The team hopes for a speedy recovery for Emmy to rejoin them.
Revere Minutemen and Walsh Jesuit Warriors Golf Team shared the fifth position, with both teams achieving an overall score of 361. In contrast, the Nordonia Knights secured the third-place position with a total score of 348, and the Green Golf team claimed the fourth spot with a combined score of 360.
