The Nordonia Varsity Boys participated in the Madison U Wanna Come Back Invitational 2023, where 32 schools competed. The Nordonia cross country boys showed a solid performance and finished 7th overall with a total team score of 236 points.
They were just behind the South Range team, which ended with a team score of 207 points, and ahead of the Twinsburg team, who finished with a total team score of 252 points to secure the 8th position.
Kaleb Rayle led the Boys Knight Varsity team with an individual score of 39, completing the race in 17:31.38, which placed him 40th. Kaden Seredick finished with an individual score of 41, running the race in 17:31.72 and securing the 42nd position.
Other contributors to the team’s total score points included Justin Roberts (17:32.14) at 43rd place, Aiden Flynn (17:45.12) at 52nd place, and Ethan Mellott, who finished 64th with a time of 17:55.54.
With 86 points, University School won the Madison Invitational. Stow-Munroe Falls (124) and Madison (139) finished in second and third place, respectively. Emmitt Slabach of South Range won the individual race after finishing in 16:07.06. Alex Burke of Cle. Heights (16:11.40) and Nathan Hartenburg of Stow-Munroe Falls (16:16.07) secured the second and third positions, respectively.
UP NEXT: The Nordonia Cross Country boys will be making a trip to Norton, Ohio, for the Suburban League Meet. This is to be held at Silver Creek Metro Park on the 14th by 9:00 a.m.
