On the evening of October 5th, the Nordonia Knight Varsity Volleyball Team orchestrated a remarkable comeback against the Hudson High School Volleyball Team at Nordonia High School’s Large Gym, with scores of 11-25, 25-14, 18-25, 25-21, and 15-9.
This impressive victory elevated the Knights’ season record to 4-8 in the Suburban National Conference and 5-14 overall. Ranked 6th in the Suburban National standings, this win over Hudson provided Nordonia Unknighted with a much-needed boost in confidence and momentum. Meanwhile, Hudson experienced their 13th loss of the season, dropping to 5-13.
In the pivotal fourth game, the Knights found themselves trailing 20-15 and facing elimination. However, they staged a remarkable comeback, securing a 25-21 victory and forcing a decisive fifth game. In the final game, the Knights dominated with a 15-9 win to clinch the overall victory.
The standout performer of the match was sophomore Morgan Root, who displayed exceptional game-setting and serving skills, accumulating 20 points. Her outstanding performance earned her the Golden Knight award.
Looking ahead, the Nordonia Knights will host Madison High School on October 7th at 12:00 PM. Madison enters the matchup with a season record of 8-10. The game will take place at Nordonia High School’s Large Gym in Macedonia, Ohio.
