The Nordonia Lady Knights showcased their impressive abilities at the Lady Rider Golf Invitational, hosted at the Twin Lakes GC in Kent, Ohio, on August 5th. Despite the warm and humid summer conditions, the team faced a formidable golf course, which they skillfully overcame with an exceptional performance.

The team’s top performers, Julia Gulla and Brooke Barnes, showcased their talent throughout the day, scoring an impressive 75 (36 Front and 39 back) and a commanding 77 (41 Front and 36 Back), respectively. The remaining members of the team, Natalie Barnes, Louren Torain, and Maddie Eisen, battled through the conditions, with their combined efforts resulting in a team score of 363. Together, they anchored the team’s position in the tournament through their collective dedication.

Julia Gulla and Brooke Barnes, who shot 71 and 80, respectively, at the District Preview just two days prior to the event, demonstrated their consistency and determination. Their remarkable performances earned them a well-deserved place on the All-Tournament Team, with their scores closely trailing behind Kent’s Maddie Kost.

The Fairways at Twin Lakes are always a challenging course, and the Lady Knights played well in difficult conditions. They will look to build on their performance at the Lady Rider Invitational as they prepare for the upcoming district tournament. The Lady Knights will next compete at the Brunswick Tee Off Classic on August 5th at Lake Forest Golf Course.
