Our annual Field Day event will happen this coming weekend at my home (307 W. Highland Rd – Garage). The crew met yesterday for our pre-event planning session. We will begin setting up on Saturday morning and begin operations at 2PM. If all goes according to plan, we will operate continuously until 2PM Sunday afternoon. We are registed on the ARRL’s national Field Day Locator website so we will probably have some visitors. And speaking of visitors, ALL PREPNET MEMBERS AND GUESTS ARE INVITED TO STOP BY FOR A VISIT and to talk on the radios if they wish!
All of our operators are from Northfield Center and Sagamore Hills. We are looking forward to showing everyone how our radio gear can be utilized under simulated emergency conditions. In previous years, we made contact with nearly all 50 states and a number of foreign countries!
