Local nonprofit empowers vulnerable children with trauma-informed programs
Clean Express Auto Wash, the car wash company that recently took over the former Macedonia location with major upgrades, has partnered with Fostering Hope, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting youth in Northeast Ohio’s residential treatment and foster care system.

Fostering Hope has been operating since 2013 with a mission of empowering vulnerable youth through transformative support and enriching opportunities. The organization focuses specifically on children in residential treatment facilities and foster care—young people who often face extraordinary challenges.
The nonprofit creates meaningful experiences designed to nurture resilience, inspire hope, and empower dreams through their Youth Wellness Programs. Their approach is trauma-informed, acknowledging the widespread impact of trauma while creating environments that promote safety, empowerment, and healing.
Among Fostering Hope’s key programs are Journey Bags, which provide essential items to children entering foster care. The organization also coordinates birthday celebrations, holiday gift giving, yoga sessions, and therapeutic art programs. While they don’t provide counseling or mentorship services, all programming is designed to address the sensitive nature of these situations.
The organization’s impact has been significant over its 12-year history. Since 2013, Fostering Hope has distributed more than 900 Journey Bags, taught over 1,000 classes, and celebrated more than 1,000 birthdays for youth in their programs.
