AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT THE CORONA VIRUS AND ITS IMPACT ON US!
For at least the past 15-years, I’ve provided every reader with my “EMERGENCY & DISASTER PREPAREDNESS GUIDE.” This is a guide that I started back in 2000 and kept it updated yearly. This guide has circulated across the country and has helped many get prepared for situations like the Corona Virus outbreak.
Two years ago, WOIO TV-19 did a segment based on my guide titled, “6 items you should have according to a doomsday prepper in Northeast Ohio.” I was also recently quoted in a Cleveland.com and Plain Dealer article titled, “What survivalists say you’ll need in case of a coronavirus outbreak.” And then, just this past week, NBC Nightly News, The Associated Press (Toledo) and “60 Minutes” contacted and interviewed me on the current status of the prepper movement and what people should or should have been doing to prepare for this major outbreak. I’ve also been receiving numerous calls and emails from residents and others asking for the same advice.
We’ve all heard about the chaos and panic occurring across the world over the COVID-19 outbreak. The question that arose was, when will it get here? It already has and the handwriting has been on the wall for at least a couple of weeks. Reports have been coming in from all over our region of store shelves becoming empty of ALL the items that preppers knew would be the first to disappear like; disinfectants, medicines, bottled water and yes, even toilet paper, just to mention a few. Places like Amazon, Costco, Giant Eagle, CVS and all of the other stores have been affected.
It’s not my intention to cause further panic but to report on the facts as I know them. We are simply not getting all of the facts from the media and other sources. I rely on what I see for myself and from my own reliable sources both in government and prepper circles. Everything points to the fact that this situation is going to get worse before it gets better.
We’ve already witnessed Ohio Governor Mike DeWine issue his “STATE OF EMERGENCY” proclamation, which has effectively shut down and cancelled many events and institutions. Communities all over our region have followed suit. Curtailment of local activities has already begun or are being considered including public events, schools and public meetings and gatherings.
Despite the many shortages that are occurring, there are still some alternative measures that you can take, which are spelled out in my guide that is attached to this newsletter. Above all else and according to nearly all government agencies, everyone should maintain at least a TWO-WEEK supply of food and other major essentials. Do NOT ignore this fact! And PLEASE, download the attached guide and share it with your family, friends and neighbors!
