QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q >>> – Paul I see that there is some road work going to be done this year and was wondering when is Bayberry Drive going to be repaved? This road has been a mess for years now. Thanks for keeping us informed
A >>> – There will be some minor repairs done this year on Bayberry. However, major resurfacing cannot be done until the drainage issues along the street and, more importantly, at the east end are resolved. There are pipes under the roadway that need to be replaced once the engineering take place by the county. We can’t repave the roadway only to have to dig it up to replace those pipes. We also stand a good chance of receiving a grant when we combine both the repaving and the pipe replacements.
Q >>> – I went and spoke to the zoning inspector a few weeks back about building a barn on my property and he gave me paperwork on it along with all of the regulations listed as an accessory building. It should be an agricultural use for my horses. He said we have to get a variance. I’m confused we should be covered under the agricultural guidelines. We called the inspector a few times and have not heard back. Is there anyone else we can contact or can you help.
A >>> – According to our Township zoning regulations and Summit County Ordinances along with the Ohio Revised Code, you and another property owner are caught in a near identical “catch 22” situation. I find this totally unacceptable and am working to help resolve it. In the meantime, both of you appeared and spoke at last Monday’s Zoning Commission meeting. Nobody at that meeting could give a clear answer to your concerns. I revealed at that meeting that we have asked for an opinion from our Prosecutor’s Office. I spoke with the Prosecutor today (3/13) and was told that an opinion will be forthcoming as soon as possible. UPDATE….. Both barns have been given the green light to be built!
Q >>> – Are there any taxes, or tax forms to be filled out for NFCT? I guess it all stems from this on the Macedonia website. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated
A >>> – Townships do NOT collect income taxes so there are no forms to obtain or fill out. The Macedonia website has nothing to do with our Township. However, if you live in a township but work in a city or village, then you will have to file forms with them and pay their taxes.
Q >>> – Why is that ugly dumpster sitting in the townhall parking lot?
A >>> – Our Service Department is currently renovating the basement of the Townhall building. Shortly after the work began, they ran into possible asbestos issues so the work stopped. We are in the process of hiring a company to do an assessment and possible removal.
Q >>> – There is a black dodge Durango that has been speeding on Pickwick and Kenwick for the last couple weeksand it looks a lot like yours. This is a bad example. You need to slow down!!
A >>> – Is that all that you’re blaming me for? Are you sure you don’t want to falsely accuse me again, for chasing an ice cream truck? I’ve got news for you …. I haven’t owned a Dodge Durango since January. I traded it in towards a new truck. You have a lot of nerve making totally false accusations like this. Grow up and get a life!

Paul, thanks for all the updates. But, I think the NRA does play a roll. Look at the weapon that is being used. They are choosing guns not anything else. I felt the need to say something.
…………………………………………………….
AMEN to your final comment about guns and these school shootings. Makes total sense. Look back — When we have a drunk driver cause an accident, we don’t blame the car?? We blame the alcohol.
