On the morning of 2/20/2019, the Summit Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team was requested to assist in the apprehension of a male with active warrants out of Stark and Summit Counties. The male lived on East Turkeyfoot Lake Road in the City of Green. The Sheriff’s Office made several attempt to communicate with the man. A portion of East Turkeyfoot Lake Road was closed during the incident. At approximately 1:50 p.m., the man, identified as 31 year old Thomas J. Piispanen was arrested without further incident. All portions of the road have been reopened.
