Earlier this year, George and Donna Payerle of Sagamore Hills spent 3 weeks in Africa on an Odysseys Unlimited tour called ‘Southern Africa Odyssey’. The trip began at the end of January which is the summer in that region. They went to Johannesburg and Victoria Falls in South Africa, then made three stops in Namibia, then back to South Africa for Cape Town and 3 days of safari at Kapama private game reserve near Kruger National Park.
The weather was great and they saw many amazing things including the ‘Big Five’ game animals, lion, leopard, cape buffalo, rhino, and elephant, all in the wild. They arrived back home safely in February, not long before travel started to shut down due to Covid-19.
