The Nordonia Lady Knights soccer team improved to 11-3 (9-0 at home) with a 2-0 victory over previously undefeated Norton. Sam Wiehe got the scoring started with an assist from Megan Abate in the 22nd minute to make it 1-0. Freshman Kayla Wosick scored the games final goal 6 minutes later and the result held up.  Nordonia recorded 12 shots on goal and looked creative in doing so. Lindsey Beattie was stellar in the net and recorded her 6th shutout. She finished with 6 saves. The back line of Campbell McFerren, Maddie Wasielewski, McKenna Kovach, Analiese Artino, and Stella Naymik continued to be the unsung heroes for the Lady Knights as they seemed to thwart every Norton attack. The Lady Knights JV team also won 1-0. Sarah Hinterlong scored her 2nd goal in as many games and Elizabeth Shubert and Ella Davarpanah combined for the shutout.
The Lady Knights travel to North Olmsted for a JV/Varsity match on Monday, October 12th, and conclude their season against undefeated and #8 state ranked Streetsboro High School on Thursday with a 6pm varsity match on the road.
