Residents missing the interaction of live meeting attendance were given good news at the July 6 Northfield Center Township meeting.
“Governor DeWine has lifted the COVID-19 mandates effective June 2,” according to Russell F. Mazzola, chair of the Northfield Center Township Board of Trustees.
“With the order now lifted, fully vaccinated individuals will no longer be required to wear a mask and will be allowed to resume most activities without social distancing, he added.“
Unvaccinated individuals are encouraged to continue to wear masks, socially distance, avoid large gatherings, and participate in activities and gatherings that occur outdoors, the chair added.
The item passed unanimously and there was no discussion.
The Board approved a second downpayment for a pre-engineered metal building for $41,819 to Infinity Construction. General fund money will be used. It passed unanimously. There was no discussion.
The Board accepted a payment of $115,000 for one-acre of land to be split from Parcel #45-05463 at 9538 Brandywine Road.

The Board placed a freeze on zoning citations immediately for the keeping of poultry in platted subdivisions until the proposed zoning text amendment from the Zoning Commission is submitted to the Board of Trustees and a Public Hearing is held and a decision on the merits of the legislation as submitted is rendered.

The Board voted to install “stop”! signs at the intersections at Dorwick Drive at Marwyck Drive, Bayberry Drive, at Marwyck Drive, and Beechwood Drive & the both end of Cherry Lane.
