Lady Knights Continue Strong Season With Multiple Wins Across Northeast Ohio
The Lady Knights bowling team delivered another impressive stretch of performances this past week, remaining undefeated in match play while also earning multiple JV tournament victories across Northeast Ohio.
The strong run began Wednesday, January 7, when the Lady Knights took on the Solon Lady Comets at Northwood Lanes. Nordonia claimed the win and stayed unbeaten, powered by Natalie’s 388 two‑game series, including a high game of 204. Kayla added a 360 series, and Maddie followed closely with a 348.
On Saturday, January 10, the JV Lady Knights traveled to Charger Lanes for the Norton JV Panther Challenge — and brought home the win. Carlotta Coptu led the way with a commanding 459 series, earning her the top individual performance of the day. McKenzie contributed a 196 game, while Bella rolled a 161.
The success continued on January 11 at the Padua Bruin Challenge at Yorktown Lanes. Maddie turned in a standout 537 series with a high game of 214, and McKenzie supported with a 390 series.
On Monday, January 12, the Lady Knights traveled to Roseland Lanes to face Twinsburg. Varsity secured another victory behind Zyair’s 393 two‑game series with a high game of 201. Natalie added a 355 series. The JV squad came up just short but was led by Peyton’s 256 series and Carlotta’s 249.
Rounding out the week, Nordonia took on Tallmadge at Station 300. Varsity earned the league win, edging Tallmadge 1987–1967. Natalie led the way with a 319 series, followed by Zyair’s 303. McKenzie posted a high game of 199. Tallmadge did not field a JV team, so Nordonia’s JV bowlers bowled for average.
Next up for the Lady Knights is the Rootstown Invitational today at Spin Lanes in Kent.
Go Knights!
