Holiday Inn Express Breaks Ground After Planning Commission Approval

Four-story hotel project moves forward after multi-meeting approval process

Construction has begun on the Holiday Inn Express at 20 Girl Scout Way in Macedonia. The four-story, 100-room hotel received final site plan approval from the Macedonia Planning Commission after multiple meetings and design reviews.

The project is located near the Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio headquarters with visibility from Interstate 271. The hotel will include standard Holiday Inn Express amenities.

Specific items approved during the final review included lighting requirements, building materials, and landscaping plans. The commission required additional trees along the I-271 corridor and at the entrance drive.
