BEACHWOOD, OHIO – The seventh annual Pals In Motion event to support services provided by InMotion for those facing Parkinson’s disease hit record attendance on Sunday, September 10 at Beachwood High School. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and donors, the 2023 event raised more than $463,000.
The 2023 event, presented by The Allan Goldberg Family, included a competitive 5K run, a 5K walk, 1-mile family walk, obstacle course and 100-yard dash relay. Pals In Motion hosted a record 1,410 participants, including more than 100 volunteers, up from 1,075 last year.
Funds raised by Pals In Motion directly support InMotion’s holistic wellness programs for people with Parkinson’s disease and their families. The event, which provides a significant portion of InMotion’s operating budget, enables the organization to deliver its programming free of charge to clients and their care partners.
Pals In Motion was also supported through in-kind Community Partner donations from the City of Beachwood, Beachwood City Schools, Beachwood Police Department, University Hospitals Emergency Medical Services, and the Cleveland Water Department.
“We were thrilled to welcome a record-breaking number of event participants. Supporters of the event helped ensure that our programs remain free of charge to anyone living with Parkinson’s disease,” said InMotion CEO Cathe Schwartz. “The day was filled with friendship, hope and joy, and everyone who joined us left with a smile on their face.”
