A famous Cleveland suburb pizza spot that goes beyond their #1 Deep Dish Pan – it goes to you and bettering your life…and yes, taste buds, too! A glimpse into Antonio’s of Macedonia

It’s challenging to find Northeast Ohioans who have not been lucky enough to have their palate meet one of the best tasting pizzas this side of the map has to offer. If you haven’t been, you must. And if you have out of town visitors, they must go, too. To many of us, Antonio’s has been around forever. Growing up in Parma, it has always been a staple for us. Antonio’s is one of those names that automatically rolls off of your tongue when you’re asked what your favorite pizza place is. If you don’t believe me, ask the community. Currently, Antonio’s has been awarded the Best Deep Dish and #1 Pizza by Reader’s Digest. Need a little more convincing?
Let’s zoom in on Antonio’s in Macedonia with Manager Craig Jenkins. Craig gave us the scoop, or better yet, the slice on what this famous Italian restaurant has to offer, and it goes deeper than their #1 Deep Dish Pizza.
A restaurant that is no stranger to longevity – it has been over forty-three years since the introduction of this hot spot. The contributing factors to these forty-three plus years of services include “dedicated ownership: over emphasis on delivering outstanding customer service”, said Craig.
Antonio’s holds all of the locations they serve to a high standard. That famous dough (that is distinguished from every other pizza dough) doesn’t get sliced and served without a lot of hard work at the Macedonia location, and the management makes certain of this. “Management commitment to delivering a great product, outstanding service, and a well-trained staff,” are what makes the Macedonia Antonio’s succeed according to Craig.
Craig is no stranger to the success-making equation of managing a restaurant – specifically pizza! I wanted to know what Craig enjoys most about his job. He shared: “For me, I love working with food and delivering exceptional customer service. I’ve been in the pizza industry for almost eighteen years.”
Eighteen years of service does not just come with endless pans of pizza; it comes with wisdom. Wisdom Craig can share (on success): “Have an open mind and be willing to never stop learning. Be prepared to work hard for set goals – for what you want.”
Antonio’s Mission Statement: To deliver exceptional restaurant experiences by building an organization where people are inspired to better their lives.
Remember that success isn’t just about you or your product. It’s about giving back.
“We provide various donations through community groups such as schools, sports teams, churches, etc. We also try to provide an enjoyable workplace to inspire people to better their lives.”
So if you’re not only looking to meet a better palate quality of that classic thick sauce, not too sweet but not too bitter sauce, large toppings, cheesy, gooey cheesiness and that distinct dough that is unlike any other OR a career that improves your quality of life, too, Craig wants you to consider Antonio’s. “Antonio’s is always looking for good people at all locations we have. For Macedonia, ask for Steve Zurney, the GM.”
