Northfield Village Rain Barrel Workshop June 14, 2022 from 4:00-5:00 PM
Location: Northfield Public Service Building 199 Ledge Road, Northfield, OH 44067
Join us for our rain barrel workshop in the Village of Northfield! Participants will be instructed on how to put together their rain barrel at the workshop.
A complete rain barrel system is only $50! This system includes: a white 55-gallon barrel, downspout diverter, and spigot. Barrels can be painted!
You may also be eligible for a credit towards your stormwater utility fee! Information about the NEORSD
stormwater program will be available.
Participants must register and pay for the barrel(s) by June 6th to reserve a spot and a barrel!

Ford Plant Update from Walton Hills
Notice of re-development 7845 Northfield Rd (Ford Plant). Independence Excavating will begin demolition of the building the week of May 23, 2022 and is expected to take 12-14 months. Demolition work will occur during daytime hours and will consist of BLASTING or use of EXPLOSIVES. Demolition procedures are monitored and governed by the Ohio EPA and by the Ohio Department of Health. An Industrial Business Park will be constructed in that area.
Construction Projects
Check out the latest pictures from my drive around town. Some construction projects around town: the Burlington entrance is being moved to make way for 1-3 more businesses, the old Pizza Hut is being converted to an IHOP, and the Golden Corral will be demolished soon. In its place will be a Panda Express and a Slim Chickens. The Panda Express will be constructed first. Ebony Ice Cream is proposing inside and outside seating in the former Serendipity location. More info coming soon. You will also see Sephora is moving in big time to Kohls.
Be on the lookout for a project not started: a new car wash next to KFC and a New Don Basch Jewelers Building near the First Watch Plaza.

Avoid Highland Road in Macedonia near Valley View Rd. Highland Rd. will be repaved from Valley View to Chamberlain Rd starting May 23rd.
