WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Dave Joyce (OH-14) announced that a $9,651,000 U.S. Department of Transportation BUILD (Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Developments) grant was awarded for projects in Geauga County. The BUILD grant will be used to improve the safe flow of traffic between motorized vehicles and non-motorized buggies. Improvements include increasing shoulder widths, installing warning systems, school zone signs and pedestrian warning signs.
“I applaud the Department of Transportation’s decision to award this important grant that will benefit the Geauga community,” said Rep. Joyce. “I am proud to have played a part in securing this funding and I look forward to seeing the much needed improvements once construction is complete.”
